William James Perry (born December 16, 1962), nicknamed “The Refrigerator” or “The Fridge”, is a former professional American football player who was a defensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons.

He played college football for Clemson University, and was recognized as an All-American. He was drafted in the first round of the 1985 NFL Draft, and played professionally for the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, and Baltimore Ravens of the NFL.
At 1.91 meters (6 ft 3 in) and weighing 120 kilograms (265 lb), Perry was among the largest NFL players in history.
He initially gained fame in 1985 as a rookie with the Bears, helping them win Super Bowl XX. In his second season, he became a starter and helped the Bears reach the 1986 NFC Championship Game.
He is best known for scoring a touchdown in the Super Bowl, which made him the first defensive lineman to do so.
Perry later played for the Eagles and Ravens, and was a member of the Ravens’ Super Bowl XXXV
